"We need immediate, safe and unhindered humanitarian access across Gaza to scale up the delivery of life-saving food, nutrition, water and medicine. Without that, mothers and fathers will continue to face a parent’s worst nightmare, powerless to save a starving child from a condition we are able to prevent."
- UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell.
New data shows that over one in three people are now
going days without food.
In just two
months, malnutrition among children under five has
quadrupled.
For over a year, families in Gaza have endured relentless violence—losing homes, loved ones, and access to food, clean water, and healthcare. Now, they’re facing a hunger crisis they cannot survive alone.
Hanadi, a mother in Khan Younis, is living that reality.
But mothers like Hanadi haven’t given up. And neither have we.
UNICEF teams are still on the ground— providing essential support to children fighting malnutrition, clean water, keeping health centres running, and creating safe spaces where children can learn and hold on to a sense of normalcy, even in the middle of crisis.
And we have more aid ready at the borders—waiting to enter the moment blockade is lifted.
We are not stopping. Not now. Not when children need us most.
With your help, we can stay and support children today—and be ready to reach even more the moment the borders open.
Please, help us keep going.

How can you help?
UNICEF response will continue to focus on responding to the needs of millions of children and families currently facing an urgent and pressing need for protection and humanitarian assistance.
Your support can help reach more children and families with-
- Nutrition supplies including ready-to-use infant formula, specialized supplementary food, nutrient supplements, and ready-to-use therapeutic food for the early prevention and treatment of acute malnutrition.
- Safe and clean water through water trucking and distribution of bottled water. UNICEF is also reaching children and families with water containers, chlorine tablets for water purification, and fuel to operate water wells and desalination plants.
- Helping children heal through mental health support and family reunification.
- Immunizing children to protect them from deadly, preventable diseases
- Setting up temporary learning spaces so children can continue their education and regain some sense of normalcy
- Cash assistance for the most vulnerable households to meet their basic needs
Your donation helps UNICEF continue its critical presence in Gaza—supporting children and families with life-saving services every day.
It also ensures we’re ready to act the moment aid is allowed in.
Please, help us stay and respond—for children who have nowhere else to turn.
